T-Mobile sending out the September security patch to the Galaxy Note 5

Galaxy Note 5

With monthly security updates becoming a common occurrence since last year, T-Mobile has now started sending out the September’s update to the #Samsung #GalaxyNote5. That’s quite a quick turnaround given that we’re only eight days into September. We’ve usually seen carriers taking up to 20-25 days to send out the security update to its phones. But clearly, things are changing in the Android world.

The software version changes to N920TUVS4DPH2 post the update, so keep a note of that if you’re expecting an update on your TMo branded Galaxy Note 5. In terms of size, the update is only 76.10MB, so you don’t have to worry about being on an unlimited WiFi network as it won’t have much of a bearing on your mobile data.

There aren’t any noteworthy features here to talk about, so the changelog will not have anything else written on it. However, we expect there to be the usual suite of bug fixes and performance enhancements onboard.
