Samsung sending out September security updates to the Galaxy S6 and the S6 edge

Galaxy S6 edge

#Samsung is now sending out the monthly security update to the #GalaxyS6 and the S6 edge in Europe. Although we’re in the end of September now, it usually takes manufacturers this long to send out the update, especially if it’s an OEM branded smartphone. But as we say in the world of Android updates, it’s better late than never. The update doesn’t bring a lot of changes to the fore since it’s merely a security patch, but you might notice some minor under the hood tweaks (if any).

It’s important to note that the update has only been spotted in Europe as of now (the Netherlands to be specific), but it should be seeding to most parts of the world in the days to come. Carrier variants might take some more time to send out the update, however.

If you have a Galaxy S6 or a S6 edge and have seen the update on your phones, make sure you let us know by dropping  a comment below.
