The #ChromecastUltra is expected to mark Google’s formal entry in the 4K video streaming segment, something that’s taken Google quite a while to get into. But better late than never, right? We’re now getting a very good glimpse of this new device that is expected to be shown off by the company during its October 4 event. What we’re seeing here is a pretty standard looking Chromecast, with almost the same design as the 2nd gen Chromecast.
Of course, there’s some new branding on board here, which will perhaps help distinguish users the old Chromecast from the new. It has been rumored that the Chromecast Ultra will be priced at $69, which is double the cost of the standard Chromecast that’s currently selling in the markets. Will Google have some other tricks up its sleeve apart from 4K support? We’ll have to wait till the 4th of October to find out.
In the meantime, make sure you let us know what you think of the Chromecast Ultra.
