Note 4 Freezes When Using Snapchat

Problem: Sometimes when i use snapchat not only does my phone freeze but in order for my phone to turn back on I have to take the battery out which is very annoying. I’ve tried rebooting and uninstalling the app. Nothing is working and i miss using snapchat.

Solution: Snapchat has become a popular app on the Android platform with a lot of people having it installed in their device. While this app has been tested to work smoothly on a wide range of devices sometimes freezing issues can occur. In this case you should first try to wipe the cache and data of the Snapchat app. This clears out any corrupt temporary data stored in the app that could be causing the problem. If the issue persists then try freeing up some storage space in your phone. You should also close any app running in the background that you are not using.

If the above steps fail to fix the issue then you might have to wait for a future app update that will fix this problem.

Note 4 Screen Turns Black When Using Snapchat

Problem: I have always had Snapchat on my phone for about 1.5 years and it worked completely fine. However, lately my phone started acting up when I use snapchat. About 3 months ago I bought a new battery(not from an samsung store) and this problem began. If I use the app a lot the screen will turn black and I am not able to turn the phone back on except by removing the battery and putting it back in. This problem mostly occurs when my battery is around 40%, but sometimes also happens when it’s 70%. I hope you can help me because all I use is snapchat.

Solution: You should try checking if the app itself is causing this issue by following the steps listed below.

  • Clear the cache and data of the Snapchat app. Check if the issue still occurs.
  • Uninstall Snapchat then install a fresh version from the Google Play Store.

If the problem still occur then try checking of the issue occurs while your phone is connected to its wall charger. If it doesn’t then you should consider replacing your battery.

Note 4 Restarts When Using Snapchat

Problem: In the past month, every single time I open the Snapchat app (only this app), my phone turns off and restarts. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app and have also tried to be a beta user to see if it would help (it didn’t). I really love this app but can’t use it because it literally restarts my phone every time. If you have any advice, please let me know, thanks!

Solution: There have been several issues such as this that have been reported lately. Some phone owners have uninstalled then reinstalled the app while other have performed a factory reset. One thing that usually resolves this problem is to get a new battery. It appears that this app might be drawing a lot of battery power which your battery might not be able to handle anymore. Using a new battery fixes this issue. However, a long term fix is for the app developer to release a new version that doesn’t use up much charge.

Note 4 Getting Virus Alert

Problem: Keep getting this error telling me I have a virus when I try to use Google. It tells me to download 360 security from this site. I had 360 already installed, Lookout and Avast mobile security. No results after scans run on all.I cleared system cache on a restart, scanned with Lookout in safe mode but I still can’t get rid of this. It’s like Ransom Ware or Malware. Help!!!!

Solution: When you get this message while using the phone’s browser then it could be caused by some form of Adware that[s in your device. This usually pops up when you access websites that have this code. Try clearing the cache and data of your phone browser then check if the issue still occurs. If it does then the best way to deal with this is to backup your phone data then do a factory reset.

Note 4 Unfortunately Cocktailbar Service Has Stopped Error

Problem: hi i keep getting “unfortunately , cocktailbar service has stopped” constantly to the point i cannot use the phone. i keep pressing ok but it comes back within seconds. please help as i have been at this for hours and to no avail.

Solution: Sometimes this issue can be resolved by switching to another theme.

  • From the Home screen, tap Apps.
  • Tap Settings.
  • On the Personal section  tap Themes.
  • Choose Default.

If the issue still occurs then you should try uninstalling the update of the Samsung Music player app.

Note 4 An Error Has Occured 101 When Opening Music App

Problem: unable to open music app, I tap on the icon and the message “an error has occurred. 101” I have tried a soft reset. I can listen to music on spotify but the factory music app where all my music is stored is unable to even open… any help would be very much appreciated. thank you.

Solution: Try clearing the cache and data of your music app as this error usually occurs when the app has some form of corrupt temporary data.

Note 4 Downloads Apps On Its Own

Problem: my phone downloads unknown apps on its own and usually freezes that it does not respond to anything i press on the phone.. it works as if there is another person operating my phone that the phone on its operate and download so many bad apps into my phone. i have done a factory reset, yet no success. pls help out. i am not sure of the android version

Solution: If your phone downloads apps on it own then it’s probably infected by some form of malware. The best thing to do in this case is to backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Once the reset is complete install back your favorite apps. Make sure to only get apps from the Google Play Store to minimize the risk of your phone being infected by malware.

Note 4 Google Maps Can’t Connect

Problem: Issue is with Galaxy 4 and Google Maps app. Having no trouble with any other apps. The Google Maps app finds my location perfectly, but when I attempt to obtain turn by turn directions to a location, “Can’t Connect” message. Have tried Soft Restarts and uninstall/reinstall, but nothing works. Any suggestions? Thanks very much.

Solution: Try using a different Internet connection then check if the same issue occurs. If your phone is using a Wi-Fi connection try connecting to a different Wi-Fi network or use your mobile data connection. You should also make sure that your phone has the correct time and data. Try selecting selecting “automatic date and time” and selecting “automatic time zone” in your device.
