Report: Shipments of the Galaxy Note 7 have been halted

Galaxy Note 7

According to reports emerging out of South Korea, #Samsung has temporarily halted shipments of the Galaxy Note 7 after reports of some units exploding started making the rounds. While the issue hasn’t been confirmed by the company, it seems like Samsung is taking serious note of the situation to avoid any further controversy.

Previously, the Galaxy Note 7 units were believed to be suffering from boot loop and software related issues, causing frustration for the South Korean giant. These new allegations have further increased the headaches for Samsung and we’re yet to hear anything concrete from the company. It is said that several South Korean carriers have stopped receiving units of the Galaxy Note 7.

The handset managed to build enough hype following its announcement early this month, with about 400,000 units supposedly sold since its release in South Korea. But these new reports will certainly put a damper on those figures going forward. Have you recently purchased a Galaxy Note 7? What do you make of this whole controversy?
