#HTC was one of the first manufacturers to announce the Android 7.0 Nougat update for its devices. The company has now come out with a tentative timeframe for the rollout of its update. The Taiwanese manufacturer sent out a tweet saying that the HTC 10 will be the first to get the update in Q4 2016, followed by the One M9 and the One A9 subsequently. The company specifies that the unlocked version of the HTC 10 will get the update first, with no mention of carrier variants as of yet. This is no surprise given that carriers usually take a while before sending out the update.
The likes of Samsung, LG, etc are yet to offer concrete details on the state of their update rollout schedules. But given that HTC has already come out with information, we expect these manufacturers to follow suit as well.
Do you own any of the aforementioned HTC devices? What do you make of the company’s revelations? Sound off in the comments below.
