Verizon Galaxy S6, S6 edge and the Galaxy Note 5 getting the July security update

Galaxy Note 5

#Verizon is now sending out the July security patch for the #Samsung #GalaxyS6, S6 edge and the #GalaxyNote5. Surprisingly, the Galaxy S6 edge+ is missing from the list, although we don’t think the update is far away. The July security update has already been sent out by most other carriers, so it comes as no surprise that Verizon would follow suit. Given that these are monthly updates, it shouldn’t usually take longer than two weeks for the devices to get them.

Given that the update is being sent out to three devices at once, the timing might vary, meaning that it might not be simultaneous. However, if you own any of the aforementioned handsets, the update should have already hit your devices by now. As you know, the update will not bring any major changes to the devices and the upgrades will be on a software level, mostly with regards to patching existing bugs.
