T-Mobile Galaxy S7 and S7 edge getting the July security update

Galaxy S7 edge

Just as we saw the #Nexus devices and the #BlackBerryPriv getting the July security update, T-Mobile is now following suit. Its version of the #Samsung #GalaxyS7 and the #GalaxyS7edge are now getting the said update, which essentially means that the device owners can be assured of having the best version of Android running on their devices right now (not including Android Nougat, of course).

Given that this is just a security patch/maintenance update, not a lot should be different after the update has been installed. Post the update, users will notice that the software version will change to G930TUVU3APG1. Given that T-Mobile is rolling out the update now, it shouldn’t be long before the unlocked models and other carriers variants of the handset receive the update as well.

If you haven’t seen the update on your T-Mobile Galaxy S7 or the S7 edge, make sure you try to pull it manually by heading over to the Settings page on your device.
