Could this be the press render of the Android based Nokia P1?

Nokia P1

The #NokiaP1 smartphone is rumored to be the Finnish manufacturer’s comeback phone, based on the Android platform. The last known device from the company came in the form of an Android tablet, the Nokia N1, which was limited to the Chinese markets.

We’re now getting a likely look of Nokia’s new handset thanks to a leak. From what we can see here, the handset has an almost Samsung-like design language. Not much is evident from the image beyond this, however. It is likely that this will be running Android on board, although nothing can be said with certainty as of yet.

Nokia wasn’t legally allowed to produce smartphones after it sold the Lumia division to Microsoft. But since the non-compete clause has come to an end a long time ago, the company can finally produce and sell devices on a global scale. We’ll keep our ears and eyes peeled for more information on the Nokia P1. What do you make of this leak? Sound off in the comments below.
