Thanks to a new feature built into Google Search, citizens around the U.S. can now get a step-by-step guide on how to start the voter registration process. The process will vary depending on the states, of course, and Google has listed out the procedure for every state in the country. So if you’re a first time voter or have simply never voted before, this is a comprehensive guide on how to get the ball rolling.
With the 2016 Presidential Elections reaching fever pitch in the U.S., there isn’t much time for voters to register to make sure they have a say in who becomes their next President. Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton and Republican nominee Donald Trump are undoubtedly going to be the faces of this election. So if you haven’t registered to vote due to lack of knowledge on the process, you can simply perform a simple search on Google.
Here’s what Google had to say on the new addition:
“Every election matters and every vote counts. The American democracy relies on everyone’s participation in the political process. This November, Americans all across the country will line up at the polls to cast their ballots for the President of the United States. With states’ varied deadlines and methods, the voter registration process can be tricky. So starting on Monday, we’re introducing a new tool in Search to simplify the voter registration process to make it easier for you to have your voice heard.”
