#ASUS has just taken the wraps off the ZenPad 3S 10 in its home region of Taiwan. The tablet comes with a more than decent 9.7-inch 2048 x 1536 display (same as the iPad mini) and a powerful MediaTek chipset on board. As expected, the device is limited to the Taiwanese markets as of now, although we cannot rule out a global release at this point. The ZenPad 3S 10 is not your run of the mill budget tablet, and the hardware proves that pretty well. It is priced at 11,000 TWD ($342), which makes it a very exciting prospect for the Taiwanese markets.
In addition to the aforementioned 9.7-inch display, the ZenPad 3S 10 comes with an 8-megapixel camera on the back, a 5-megapixel front camera, the hexa-core MediaTek MT8176 chipset, 4GB of RAM, 32GB of expandable storage, Android 6.0 Marshmallow and a relatively smaller 5,900 mAh battery. The tablet will be officially available for purchase in Taiwan starting August 1.
Given the kind of hardware it’s packing, the ZenPad 3S 10 would make an excellent addition to the global tablet market. We hope ASUS doesn’t hesitate to bring it to the rest of the world.
