YouTube app getting live streaming support soon

YouTube Live Stream

#YouTube has freshly announced that it will soon bring video live streaming support to all users of the YouTube app. While this feature has been live since 2011 on the web, mobile rollout has been relatively scarce. Currently, only a handful of devices from Sony and Samsung support YouTube live streaming. But with an update to the default YouTube app on Android devices, the feature will be available for practically everyone out there.

The feature is currently rolling out to some of the popular YouTubers out there with the likes of “The Young Turks, AIB, Platica Polinesia, SacconeJolys, and Alex Wassabi at VidCon” getting support according to YouTube. But expect the update to be made available on a wider scale relatively soon. With Facebook Live and Periscope currently dominating the live video broadcasting space, we’re not sure how YouTube will be able to fit in. But it goes without saying that it will have a far wider reach compared to any of the other networks.

What do you think?
