Perhaps Samsung’s worst kept secret at this point, the #GearFit2 has just been unveiled by the manufacturer. The wearable comes with a slew of features that make it a significantly improved version of the predecessor. The Gear Fit 2 will be available starting June 10 for $179.
The company details the features of this particular wearable/fitness tracker in its official video below:
In addition to the Gear Fit 2, Samsung also took the wraps off the Gear Icon X headphones, which is a unique take on going completely wireless. There are no wires here visible to the eye, and the two earphones are not tethered to each other. This means that you might as well get a new set if you lose even one of the earbuds.
But you have to credit Samsung for the creativity here as it’s a pretty unique concept. The earphones also come with a heart-rate monitor, which will appeal to the fitness buffs. There are some decent voice commands based features as well. The Icon X will be available sometime in July for $199.
Overall, the Gear Fit 2 and the Gear Icon X will certainly make excellent additions to Samsung’s accessory lineup to complement devices like the Galaxy S7 and the S7 edge.
