S6 Screen Freeze
Problem: I have a samsung galaxy s6 and the screen has freeze. I have tried to restart it by using the volume down key and the power key, it restarted but the screen is still freeze. I really don’t know what to do as all solutions i have found online told me to do the exact same thing but unfortunately it’s not working. I really need you help. Thanks in advance.
Solution: Try starting the phone in recovery mode then wipe the cache partition of your device. This will delete the temporary data store in the phone which if corrupt can cause this problem. Restart the phone normally then check if the issue still occurs. If the issue still occurs then go back to recovery mode and do a factory reset. Take note that your phone data will be deleted in the process so make sure to have a backup copy first before proceeding.
If the above steps fail to resolve the issue then this problem could already be hardware related. I suggest you have this checked at a service center if this is the case.
Screen Is Black
Problem: My phone was at 100% and now my screen doesn’t wanna work it’s a straight black screen can’t see nothing
Solution: This could just be caused by a software glitch. Try to follow the troubleshooting steps listed below to fix this issue. Move to the next step should the current step you perform fail.
- Restart your phone by pressing and holding the power button and volume down button simultaneously for at least 10 seconds.
- Clean the charging port of your phone using a can of compressed air then charge it for at least 20 minutes. Try to turn on the phone while it is connected to the charger.
- Start the phone in recovery mode then wipe its cache partition.
- Start the phone in recovery mode then do a factory reset. Take note that this will delete the phone data so make sure to have a backup copy of your phone data before proceeding.
If the problem still remains then I suggest you have the display of your phone checked at a service center.
S6 Retrieving Data When Screen Is Cracked
Problem: Screen is cracked and blacked out from a drop. It is also locked. The find my phone option has not been set up and Google was not set to back up photos. Is there a way to retrieve data from the device?
Solution: Since the phone is locked there is no way to retrieve data from the device unless you replace the phone display first.
S6 Lock Screen Not Recognizing Pattern
Problem: Lock screen security does not recognize the pattern. Eventually it will say that I have to wait 30 seconds to try again, once that time passed, back pin can be used to access. Once I have access to the phone, I tried to change my lock screen and security. At screen lock type, no alternative is available, only direction lock. Please help. It takes forever to access my phone
Solution: In this type of issue you should backup your phone data then do a factory reset. This step eliminates any software related problems that could be causing the problem.
S6 Screen Not Responsive
Problem: I’m thinking my screen needs to be recalibrated…I sometimes.have to hit an on screen button or tab(games.and chrome browser) several times (4-10 times.sometimes) for it to register!
Solution: Before doing any troubleshooting make sure that the phone does not have any screen protector installed as this may cause the device to become unresponsive.
Try checking first if the issue is caused by some form of corrupt temporary data in your phone by wiping the cache partition of your device from the recovery mode. Once this is done check if the issue still occur.
Another factor that can cause this issue is an app you installed in your phone. To check if this is the case start your phone in recovery mode. In this mode only the pre-installed apps are allowed to run. If the screen is responsive in this mode then the problem could be caused by an app. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
One final troubleshooting step that you can do is a factory reset. Take note that you need to backup your phone data before doing this.
If the above steps fail to fix the problem then this could be caused by a faulty digitizer. You will need to bring your phone to a service center and have it checked if this is the case.
S6 Right Side Of Screen Flickers Turns White
Problem: I just had my LCD screen replaced about a month ago and now the right now of my screen is starting to go out. When I turn on the screen the right side flickers and turns white.
Solution: It looks like this problem is caused by a defective screen. Try doing a factory reset (make sure to backup your phone data first) then check if the issue still occurs. If it does then you will need to have the display replaced.
