New leak reveals likely BlackBerry Android handset

BlackBerry Android

A new leak has revealed what looks like an upcoming #BlackBerry #Android handset. The leak doesn’t offer us a glimpse of the front portion and our visibility is limited to the rear panel, which reveals a metal frame, suggesting strongly that this would be a mid-range offering. BlackBerry CEO John Chen has made it clear that the company will only release a mid-range and slightly upper tier phone this year, with no plans to release a high-end flagship. So we’re guessing this could be the slightly upper-tier model, going by the design.

However, knowing BlackBerry, we wouldn’t be surprised even if its cheapest offering ends up looking like this. The company has a pretty high standard for design, so that’s one area where the company surely won’t disappoint. The BlackBerry Priv ended up being a disappointment for the company mainly due to its exorbitant pricing. But the company will hope to change that with these slightly lower priced handsets.

The leak doesn’t shed more light on the device itself, apart from the fact that it could be known as the ‘BlackBerry Neon‘. So we suggest you take it with a pinch of salt for the time being. Like what you see? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
