#LG has just taken the wraps off the #Stylus2Plus smartphone, which is a slightly enhanced version of the Stylus 2 that was launched earlier this year. The changes here come mostly in terms of display resolution (same size), chipset as well as the cameras, so the ‘Plus’ moniker is justified here. The Stylus 2 Plus also has a stylus of its own, as is evident from the name, although it won’t compete with Samsung’s super-smart S-Pen stylus.
The handset comes with a 5.7-inch 1080p Quantum display, a 1.4 GHz octa-core Snapdragon 430 SoC, Android 6.0 Marshmallow, a 3,000 mAh battery and a fingerprint scanner. The smartphone will be available in two variants with varying storage capacities, RAM and camera sensors. There’s no word on how these variants will be distributed across the globe.
In terms of RAM, there will be the choice between 2 or 3GB. Storage options include 16 and 32GB (expandable). As far as the camera is concerned, there will be a model with a 16-megapixel rear camera (8-megapixel front camera) and a separate version with a 13-megapixel camera (5-megapixel front camera), so some users are bound to be confused.
Pricing details haven’t been disclosed yet, but we don’t see the handset being priced more than $249.99 when it is made available in the U.S.
