#HTC is one of the first manufacturers to announce the #Android #Nougat update for its trio of handsets – the One A9, One M9 and the HTC 10. This comes just over an hour after #Google made the Nougat name official, following an internet poll to pick the name of this year’s Android refresh.
Even in the past, we’ve seen manufacturers being pretty quick in announcing the update for their devices. Companies like LG were even quick in sending out the update to their device, while HTC’s One A9 became the first non-Nexus device to feature Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.
HTC has merely mentioned that an update will be sent, although no specific date has been mentioned. For those wondering, the updates won’t be arriving anytime soon as Android Nougat is yet to become commercially available. If I were to place my bets, I would say the update will not start reaching devices until November or December at least.
So sweet. Android Nougat—the next version of Google’s Android—will be coming to the HTC 10, HTC One A9 & HTC One M9. pic.twitter.com/cB5S2zv0PW
