#Samsung is now sending out the #Android 6.0 #Marshmallow update for the 1st gen #GalaxyA7, starting with Russia. Given that the device is available in a wide range of countries across the globe, this inspires some hope among customers. It is being said that the first gen Galaxy A5 will be getting the update soon as well, thus completing Samsung’s obligation to send out Marshmallow to its mid-ranged offerings.
The smartphone originally launched with Android 4.4.2 KitKat, so it has come a long way since going official. The handset also received Android 5.0.2 recently, so this is not its first major update.
The company hasn’t given a timeline for the release of the update in other regions, but since Russia has already gotten it, we don’t think there will be much waiting to do for the rest of the world. It’s good to see that Samsung is still committed to pushing updates for older devices, even though it has only recently launched successors to the Galaxy A5.
