Sprint killing off two-year contracts for good

#Sprint announced earlier this year that new customers will not be able to get its devices on two-year contracts. This was seen as the carrier’s way of keeping with the trend as contracts are as good as dead today with most users preferring the monthly installments option.

But Sprint kept the two-year contracts option available for existing customers, which was seen as a rather odd move by the carrier. Well, that will also go away for good now with a leaked internal document revealing that two-year contracts will be completely gone after May 24.

It’s a bit of a surprise that it has taken the carrier this long to take this step, but it’s a welcome one nonetheless. So if you’re looking to enjoy Sprint’s contract services, you might want to hurry as time is seemingly running out.

Post this, the carrier will focus on its leasing plans and look to do what the rest of the carriers in the U.S. are doing. Do you think Sprint waited too long to do this? Let us know in the comments below.
