Samsung Galaxy Note 6 to feature USB Type-C port

Galaxy Note 5

The #Samsung #GalaxyNote5 is an incredible smartphone, right from the design to the hardware packing underneath. A new report from a reputable Samsung source is now claiming that the successor to this device could change things around a little bit.

It is being said that Samsung will finally take the leap and adopt USB Type-C with the Galaxy Note 6. Perhaps Samsung will also have a new VR headset built with USB Type-C devices in mind.

This makes sense knowing how most major manufacturers like LG and HTC have already embraced USB Type-C, while Samsung’s latest flagships, the Galaxy S7 and the S7 edge are still packing micro USB ports.

It’s still early days to know for sure, but this does seem like something that Samsung would do. Do you think the company missed a trick by skipping USB Type-C on the Galaxy S7 and the S7 edge? What do you make of this new revelation?
