Samsung Galaxy C5 hits Bluetooth SIG, one step closer to release

Samsung Galaxy C5

Samsung’s #GalaxyC5 handset has been making the rounds on the internet for quite some time now. Well, the smartphone has now been spotted on the Bluetooth SIG (Special Interest Group) page, suggesting an imminent release. All new devices have to be certified by this particular authority before heading towards official release, so this doesn’t necessarily surprise us.

We have already seen several leaks of the smartphone, which has revealed a metallic body while rumors have suggested that the device would be packing a 5.2-inch 1080p display, Android 6.0 Marshmallow and 4GB of RAM. It is said that the device would be China-centric, although we cannot rule out a global release at this point.

Low-cost feature rich smartphones have a market everywhere and we’ve seen manufacturers like LG, ZTE etc making the most of it. A couple of Samsung mid-rangers recently popped up on American prepaid carriers Virgin Mobile and Boost, so we don’t see why the Galaxy C5 can’t take a similar route.
