HTC announces Android N support for the HTC 10, One A9 and the M9

HTC - Android N

With #Google making key #AndroidN related announcements at the I/O 2016 event, #HTC has ensured that it stays in the news as well. The Taiwanese manufacturer has freshly announced on Twitter that it will be updating the One A9, One M9 as well as the newly launched HTC 10 smartphones with the Android N operating system.

The commitment from the company should be an inspiration for other manufacturers (barring LG) who have otherwise worked at a hare’s pace to get the updates rolling for their respective devices. HTC was the first third-party manufacturer to have Android 6.0 built-in to its smartphone (the One A9), so this announcement doesn’t sound like empty promises to us.

However, there’s still some time left for Android N to go commercial, so we won’t get excited just yet. It is however very pleasing to know that HTC has already gotten ahead of its rivals in announcing the update for its handsets. HTC device owners, what do you make of this?
