Verizon offering 2GB of free data for using Android Pay

Android Pay

Starting today, you can simply tap your #AndroidPay compatible device at any of the supported locations around the U.S. and get a free GB of data on your account. When you make your third tap on Android Pay, you will get another GB of data, which makes it a total of 2GB of high-speed data that is valid for two billing cycles.

This is the carrier’s way to boost up market share and usage of Google’s wireless payments offering. We’re seeing Samsung offering multiple incentives to customers who activate Samsung Pay on their devices, so this is pretty similar to that. The deal offered by Verizon is pretty simple and can be used at over 1.5 million locations in the U.S. according to the carrier.

Naturally, you will have to be a Verizon Wireless customer to get the aforementioned free data.

Interested in this deal? Head over to an Android Pay supported retailer right away and make a transaction to get some free data on your Verizon account.
