Most Sony Xperia Z2 and Z3 models now receiving Android Marshmallow

#Sony has officially started sending out the #Android 6.0 #Marshmallow update for a variety of the #XperiaZ2 and #XperiaZ3 models across the globe. This includes devices like the Xperia Z2 Tablet (most models), which was otherwise believed to have been forgotten by Sony. The update is being sent out to the devices over-the-air and might take some time to reach every model, so remain patient if you’re yet to spot the update on your phone.

Here are the devices and their model numbers that are getting Marshmallow now:

Xperia Z2 – D6502, D6503
Xperia Z3 – D6603, D6646, D6653
Xperia Z3 Dual – D6633
Xperia Z3 Compact – D5803, D5833
Xperia Z2 Tablet – SGP511, SGP512, SGP521

Sony is expected to bring a couple of handy improvements with the Android 6.0 update. Most notable of them being the addition of Stamina Mode, which was initially believed to be missing from the company’s Marshmallow update. Other features include Google’s Doze Mode as well as Google Now on Tap, which gives you deeper access to Google Now features. There should also be a slightly tweaked UI on board.
