#Samsung has just announced that it will release the Pink Gold version of the #GalaxyS7 and the #GalaxyS7edge in South Korea starting April 20 (today). This model appears to be an enhanced version of Rose Gold, which rose to prominence (no pun intended) last year after Apple’s release of the iPhone 6s and the 6s Plus. Instead of blatantly ripping off Apple’s color variant, Samsung has decided to give this model its own touch, thus calling it Pink Gold.
It looks quite different and could strike a chord with the masses out there, assuming it is available globally. Samsung mentions that more markets will see this new Pink Gold version of the handset, although it hasn’t offered much clarification on that front.
This doesn’t appear to be any different from standard models of the Galaxy S7 or the Galaxy S7 edge, so we don’t think the company is going to charge extra for this particular color variant.
“Pink Gold was chosen as it, like the other colors available for the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge, is a natural color that provides a sense of comfort. These hues glitter and shimmer as if illuminated from inside their glass surfaces,” Samsung said on this new variant.
