It has long been rumored that #Nokia is working on a comeback smartphone, based on #Android. With the company’s non-compete clause with #Microsoft coming to an end, the Finnish manufacturer can finally release smartphones under its popular brand. So what’s going to be the first of the company’s comeback phones? The Nokia A1 could be one of the candidates. Today, a fresh press render has popped up online courtesy of the folks at Android Authority.
Going by this press image, it seems like the device is running Android with a unique user interface on board as well. The render also shows Nova Launcher among the list of apps, which is a bit surprising since Nokia uses its in-house Z Launcher for all budget and mid-ranged devices. This particular aspect makes us a little skeptical about the leak, so we suggest you take the render with a pinch of salt for the time being. However, it’s also likely that Nokia has struck a deal with Nova Launcher to merge it with Z Launcher.
Nova Launcher is arguably one of the most popular and versatile third-party launchers out there, so it wouldn’t exactly be a surprise to see the company joining hands with them. What do you make of this press render? Sound off in the comments below.
