Marshmallow update for the OnePlus One said to be in final stage

OnePlus One

The #OnePlus2 runs on OxygenOS and has recently received a public beta of the Android 6.0 Marshmallow ROM. OnePlus has now announced that the team is also in the process of sending out the update to  the #OnePlusOne handset, the device which started it all for the company. This is the Cyanogen OS running variant, so it’s not exactly in OnePlus’ hands to send out the update.

The company’s co-founder Carl Pei has mentioned that the update is in its final testing stages which indicates that an update is on the horizon. However, he mentioned that a precise ETA cannot be offered, which is fair as Cyanogen is supposed to send out the update to the handsets.

In any case, OnePlus One users should be able to have Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow running on their device when the folks at Cyanogen are ready to send it out. As of now, the wait continues for the customers.
