#HTC has just launched the #OneS9 smartphone for the global markets with what is considered to be a mid-ranged hardware specs sheet. The smartphone comes with a metal design and looks very similar to the One M9 from last year, especially the camera on the back. The upgraded BoomSound speakers are available here, so the company has made sure that all the new features from the new HTC 10 flagship are included.
The One S9 comes with a 5-inch 1080p display, an octa-core 2 GHz MediaTek Helio X10 SoC, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of expandable storage, a 13-megapixel rear camera, a 4-megapixel front camera, Android 6.0 Marshmallow and a 2,840 mAh battery.
The One S9 is priced at €499 ($563), which makes it a pretty expensive offering, especially for the hardware underneath. But given that devices in the EU are never really affordable, this doesn’t surprise us all that much. There’s no word on when the handset will hit the U.S., but we’re guessing that will happen soon, but probably not right away.
