Amazon Fire HD 8 successor could launch soon with upgraded hardware

Fire HD

#Amazon has created big ripples in the budget tablet industry with its #FireHD series of tablets. A new report is mentioning that the company is now planning a successor to the Kindle Fire HD 8. In terms of upgrades, the GFXBench benchmark listing has revealed that this tablet will come with 1.5GB of RAM, the 64-bit 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT8163 chipset, a downgraded 2-megapixel rear camera, 8GB of storage and Android 5.1 Lollipop.

The benchmark listing reveals that Amazon will keep the display size and resolution unchanged at 1280 x 800 pixels, which should make it a decent offering, assuming Amazon has the right pricing for the device. The company still hasn’t confirmed the arrival of the tablet, so treat this as speculation for the time being.

Amazon has been very successful with its Fire HD range of tablets, so it’s no surprise that the company wants to continue on this path. We’ll keep you posted on any new details that emerge on this front.
