Samsung Galaxy S7 pre-orders have supposedly set a new record

Samsung Galaxy S7

According to a new report, #Samsung is breaking all pre-order records with the #GalaxyS7 and the #GalaxyS7edge. The two handsets have supposedly broken records in terms of pre-orders, according to a report from Russia. The leakster mentions that this is the case in about 60 countries where the smartphone is currently on pre-order.

As you know, the Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 edge have been available on pre-order since February 23, so to break the record in just a week is quite a feat. The two smartphones have every potential to break sales records in the mobile industry when they’re made available for purchase on the 11th of this month.

It is said that in Russia, over 64% of the pre-orders placed were for the Galaxy S7 edge while the remaining accounted for the Galaxy S7. So clearly, the customers are favoring the edge display variant more over the flat display sibling. In order to differentiate between the two handsets, Samsung has made sure that the edge model is slightly bigger than the Galaxy S7.

Overall, things are looking pretty good for Samsung right now and we can expect the company to turn in good figures for the coming financial quarters. However, it’s still too early to tell as pre-order figures are never really a good indicator of continued sales.
