Project Fi is now invite free; Google offering Nexus 5X for $199 to new customers

#ProjectFi is Google’s own cellular service which operates on #Sprint and T-Mobile’s network frequencies in the U.S. However, this service was invite-only, which meant that not everybody could freely become customers of Fi. However, #Google has now lifted these restrictions, making it possible for practically anybody to sign up for Project Fi.

In addition to this, the Mountain View giant has also announced that the LG Nexus 5X will be given for $199.99 when bought via Project Fi. This means you will have to activate a new line with Fi. The 32GB model on the other hand can be snatched up for $249.99 under Project Fi. As of now, we’re not seeing the offer on the Huawei Nexus 6P, so it’s likely that Google is keeping this limited to the Nexus 5X.
