OnePlus 2 Android 6.0 update currently being soak tested

OnePlus 2 Marshmallow

The #OnePlus2 recently received the Oxygen OS 2.2.1 update, which introduced a few new features, but kept the device on Android 5.1 Lollipop. This begged the question – when will OnePlus start sending out Android 6.0 Marshmallow for the smartphone? Well, it seems like the day might not be far away with the company supposedly beginning the soak test of the update for devices in some regions.

This will, of course, be skinned with Oxygen OS (version 3.0), so OnePlus will still have its key features on board. There’s no ETA for the wider rollout of the update, but we’re guessing OnePlus will proceed with haste given all the flak it has received from the community and users for delaying its update multiple times now.

The screenshots available don’t outright confirm that this is indeed the Android 6.0 update, but we’re seeing some changes on board. There are new wallpapers on board and some changes made to the home screen as well.
