The #HTC10 smartphone has been teased by the company on multiple occasions now. Well, the Taiwanese manufacturer now has a precise release date for the smartphone courtesy of a new teaser image. Following a series of vague teasers, the company has now mentioned that the handset will be officially unveiled on the 12th of April. This is pretty accurate going by what we previously heard from the rumors.
Naturally, the report doesn’t specifically mention that the smartphone will be unveiled on the 12th of April. But considering that there’s no other flagship launch from the company on the horizon, it’s safe to assume that the HTC 10 will be on the agenda. Plus the whole #PowerOf10 thing is a dead giveaway of things to come.
From what we have heard so far, HTC could finally be transitioning into a Quad HD display, which will be a big step for the company. The manufacturer has already released a handful of Quad HD smartphones but has used a 1080p display panel on the main flagship of the year.
But that will most likely change with the HTC 10. Further, the company is expected to be using the 12.3-megapixel rear camera sensor that we saw on the Huawei Nexus 6P and the LG Nexus 5X, so the handset could boast of excellent camera credentials as well.
The design is slated to be similar to the One A9 from late last year, which in turn means that this might be yet another iPhone 6 lookalike. We expect to hear more about the device in the days to come.
