Amazon is now offering the #BlackBerryPriv smartphone for just $649. The handset has been selling consistently for $699 since it was released, which makes this price reduction a pretty big deal. The Priv is BlackBerry’s first attempt at Android and a fairly successful one at that we must add.
There’s no telling if this is a limited period promotion or a permanent price reduction, but it makes sense to hop on board just to be on the safer side. While the Priv has been no game changer for the company, it has no doubt been a ray of hope in the company’s otherwise dismal performance over the past four to five years.
The BlackBerry Priv comes with a 5.4-inch Quad HD AMOLED display, a hexa-core Snapdragon 808 chipset, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage (expandable), an 18-megapixel camera on the back, a 2-megapixel front camera, Android 5.1 Lollipop and a 3,410 mAh battery underneath. The physical QWERTY keyboard also acts as a touchpad for scrolling and navigating, just like a cursor, making this a very versatile product.
