Samsung Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 edge getting Android 6.0 globally

Galaxy S6

#Samsung has officially started the global rollout of #Android 6.0 #Marshmallow for the #GalaxyS6 and the #Galaxy S6edge smartphones as of today. This essentially means that the American variants of the smartphones won’t be long off from getting the update.

Android 6.0 is being teased for the 2015 Samsung flagships from quite some time now, but it’s good to see that the company finally has a concrete release date. We recently saw a beta version of Android 6.0 Marshmallow running on the Galaxy Note 5, so customers of the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 edge can expect an identical look and feel, but without the S Pen features.

As for the current update situation, customers can expect an OTA notification to appear on their devices anytime soon. Samsung will supposedly provide more details on the update for other Galaxy flagships that were released in 2015. For now though, only the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 edge appear to be getting an update.
