Co-founder of #OnePlus Carl Pei, has mentioned that the company’s upcoming flagship, the #OnePlus3 will be made official in the 2nd quarter of 2016. This means the device could be revealed anytime between April and June this year, suggesting the wait might not be that long. OnePlus is currently offering the #OnePlus2 sans invites, which indicates that the company has streamlined its production (or that the demand has ceased).
Pei mentioned that the OnePlus 3 will feature a new design, which is refreshing news for the customers. He also mentioned that there will be a “better buying process” for the smartphone, so things could be very different with the third major OnePlus flagship.
The OnePlus X mid-ranger is currently the hot favorite among the fans, but hasn’t been successful to the extent that the company was expecting. So a lot is riding on the OnePlus 3, which could in many ways be a make or break device for the company. While the OnePlus One showed plenty of promise, the company really didn’t have much to offer with the OnePlus 2. Fans will be hoping that the OnePlus 3 will be different in that regard.
