The public has unanimously loved the #Nexus phones that were outed by #LG. There were three in total – the #Nexus4 (2012), the #Nexus5 (2013) and the recently unveiled #Nexus5X. But it seems like this is all the Nexus handsets that we’ll see in the markets. A company spokesperson has mentioned that there will be no Nexus smartphone launching from the company this year, confirming once and for all that there won’t be a LG Nexus 5X successor, well not from LG at least.
The company apparently wants to focus on its own brand, which is why it has decided to leave the Nexus line. We’re not sure if this is good news, but if this means that the company will bring more devices like the recently launched LG G5, we have no reason to be concerned at this point.
Given that LG has produced some of the best Nexus handsets to us stock Android lovers, this does come as a bit of a disappointment to me personally. But we’re sure that Google will team up with an equally capable manufacturer for the production of the upcoming Nexus handset. HTC is supposedly launching two Nexus handsets this year, which does sound exciting.
What do you make of this news? Will you miss LG’s Nexus handsets?
