While we’ve heard plenty about HTC’s intentions to release a smartwatch, the idea might be finally coming to fruition this April, according to popular leakster @evleaks.
It is being said that the Taiwanese manufacturer will release the new wearable alongside the One M10 a.k.a the Perfume in April. This makes sense going by a recent report which talked about the One M10 releasing in the U.S. by May this year. As for the wearable itself, it is our guess at this point that HTC will go with Android Wear rather than build a new smartwatch OS from scratch.
Given the kind of experience HTC has in the design segment, one can expect an eye-catching wearable to come out of the company’s sheds. Keeping that in mind, we’re pretty excited about the prospects of an HTC smartwatch launching in the markets.
If you recall, HTC is said to be skipping the MWC 2016 event this month and is probably holding its own event sometime in April. While the announcement of the One M10 was always on the cards, we can now add the HTC smartwatch to the agenda as well.
