According to a new report, the #HTC #OneM10 smartphone could utilize the same camera sensor as the #Nexus6P. For those unaware, the Nexus 6P makes use of a 12.3-megapixel sensor (Sony IMX377) which can capture 1.55 micron pixels, allowing more light to pass through than conventional cameras. The performance from this sensor was pretty impressive as camera samples have shown.
Given that HTC has used the large micron pixel sensors in the past (albeit with a 4-megapixel resolution), using this 12.3-megapixel sensor makes complete sense. The source familiar with HTC leaks also goes on to say that the smartphone will have the services of Optical Image Stabilization or OIS, which would further bolster the One M10’s camera credentials.
It has been said that the One M10 will be revealed sometime in April, so there’s plenty of time for the device’s arrival. By then, we can hope to encounter some more details about the handset’s camera and other hardware aspects.
