Here are the ASUS devices in line to get the Marshmallow update

ZenFone 2 Laser

When we talk about #Android 6.0 #Marshmallow, we usually forget about the budget manufacturers, focusing more on the flagship OEMs like Samsung, LG, HTC, Sony etc. However, ASUS demands a significant share of the mid-range as well as the budget segment and has finally announced its intentions to offer the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update to its devices.

The company was kind enough to even offer a list of devices that will receive the update, along with their (many) model numbers:

  • PadFone S (PF500KL)
  • ZenFone 2 (ZE550ML, ZE551ML)
  • ZenFone 2 Deluxe (ZE551ML)
  • ZenFone 2 Deluxe Special Edition (ZE551ML)
  • ZenFone 2 Laser (ZE500KG, ZE500KL, ZE550KL, ZE551KL, ZE600KL, ZE601KL)
  • ZenFone Selfie (ZD551KL)
  • ZenFone Max (ZC550KL)
  • ZenFone Zoom (ZX551ML)

Most of these devices are available for purchase unlocked and off contract in the U.S. through Amazon and other retailers, so don’t think that the devices are exclusive to Asian markets.
