Verizon LG G3 getting updated to Android 6.0 Marshmallow

Verizon’s variant of the #LGG3 is now getting an update to #Android 6.0 #Marshmallow according to multiple reports. The smartphone recently started getting the update, but only in Poland. So it’s good to know that American models of the smartphone are also receiving the update. The information comes from the official LG G3 Reddit page, where multiple users are reporting to have received the update. You might even find an OTA link for the update if you’re lucky enough.

The LG G3 is a very important device for LG, even though it’s over 18 months old now. The smartphone was high up on the company’s list to receive the update, along with the LG G4 and the more recent LG V10 flagship.

As for the changes on board, you should find a bundle of LG specific upgrades on board and some stock Android changes that Google has introduced with Marshmallow. Naturally, the phone should also run significantly faster post the update, which is never a bad thing. Already received the update? Sound off in the comments below.
