Release of the Oculus Touch delayed until 2nd half of 2016

Oculus Touch

Oculus Touch is a companion accessory for the #OculusRift which helps you use them as virtual arms while connected to the Rift. Development of this companion accessory has begun quite some time ago and was expected to be available early this year along with the Oculus Rift, but that doesn’t seem to be the case according to a new blog post from the company.

The Oculus team has now mentioned that the Oculus Touch will not be released until the second half of 2016, so there’s still quite some waiting to do for fans of the device. The company said – “The feedback on Touch has been incredibly positive, and we know this new timeline will produce an even better product, one that will set the bar for VR input.”

The Oculus Touch comes in a pair and features analog sticks and a variety of conventional joystick like controls to make the experience that much better for users of the Rift. The Oculus Rift is expected to be available soon but for a hefty price tag, so those waiting to get their hands on this VR headset might be slightly disappointed. There’s still no precise word on the pricing of the Oculus Touch.
