#Huawei originally unveiled the #GX8 smartphone back in September 2015 and the device has been available in regions of Europe and other parts of the world since then. The company has now officially announced the handset for the U.S. with an asking price of $349.99.
The Huawei GX8 comes with a 5.5 inch 1080p display, an octa core Snapdragon 615 chipset, 16GB of internal storage (expandable), 2GB of RAM, a 13-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel front camera, a 3,000 mAh battery and Android 5.1 Lollipop. The device also comes with a fingerprint scanner on the back, which we’ve seen on plenty of devices over the past few months, including the likes of the Huawei Nexus 6P and some other devices from the company.
Huawei hasn’t given a precise release date for the smartphone, but has mentioned that it will be available in “early Q1” from the company’s official website, Amazon as well as Best Buy. So it seems like the company has itself covered as far as retail availability is concerned. Would you be willing to shell out $350 for this smartphone? Sound off in the comments below.
