Google I/O 2016 scheduled for May 18-20

Google I/O

#Google CEO Sundar Pichai has announced the dates for the 2016 Google I/O event. This annual developer event will be held between the 18th and 20th of May at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California.

Naturally, the company will also offer a livestream via YouTube of all the events taking place during the course of the three days, so everybody in the world has an opportunity to be part of this annual dev conference, much like the past several years.

More details on the event such as registration, pricing and student discounts will be offered shortly. Pichai also proudly announced that this is the company’s 10th year conducting the annual conference, so we can expect some surprises during the course of the event.

As to what’s new during the event, we can naturally expect to get an early glimpse of Android 7.0 or Android N, as has been the norm for about two years now. The company started this trend with Lollipop or Android L, where a developer preview was made available justa a few days after the announcement was made at I/O.
