Acer’s Iconia One 8 tablet launching in the U.S. next month for $99

Acer Iconia One 8

The #Acer #IconiaOne8 tablet has just been launched by the Chinese manufacturer carrying a budget price tag and a more than capable hardware specs sheet. Unlike most budget offerings that are released by the company, this one will be hitting the North American markets as well, and only for $99.

The Iconia One 8 (B1-850) packs a decent 8 inch 1280 x 800 resolution display, 16GB of internal storage (expandable), 1GB of RAM, a quad core MediaTek chipset, Android 5.1 Lollipop as well as a 4,600 mAh battery. The hardware is fairly budget-like as you would imagine given the price tag, but it would no doubt appeal to a wide range of customers in the U.S. thanks to that sub-$100 pricing.

The device will be officially up for grabs in the U.S. in February, so you should find the device while you’re strolling through your local Best Buy outlet or Walmart sometime next month. The tablet will also be available in Europe, Middle East and the Asian markets carrying a similar price tag.
