Samsung Pay now officially supports gift cards

Samsung Pay Gifts

#SamsungPay is now officially getting support for gift cards thanks to a new update. The company has teamed up with nearly 50 providers to bring this service to its wireless payments offering.

Customers can store existing gift cards or purchase new ones directly from the app. Naturally, you can also share these gift cards with your loved ones from within the app, so you’re getting a comprehensive gift cards experience with this new update.

You can get gift cards from Dominos, GameStop, Toys R Us, eBay and a variety of other retailers, so there are plenty of options for the customers here.

With the support of more than 50 major retail gift cards and the launch of the in-app gift card store, Samsung Pay is bringing consumers an easier way to use gift cards ,” said Injong Rhee, EVP of Samsung Electronics, Global Head of Samsung Pay.

Samsung Pay is one of the only wireless payment offerings out there to support standard MST transactions, which basically works with any credit or debit card swiping machines out there. It also supports NFC payment terminals, so it’s a very versatile offering and can thus be used practically anywhere in the U.S.

So if you’re a Samsung Pay user, make sure you check out gift cards for your loved ones this holiday season.
