Samsung might have accidentally released the Android 6.0.1 beta for the Galaxy S5

Galaxy S5The #Samsung #GalaxyS5 smartphone is in line to receive the Android 6.0 update as per several reports. However, the early 2014 flagship isn’t expected to receive the update before early 2016. However, one user of the Galaxy S5 is supposedly seeing Android 6.0.1 on his Galaxy S5, suggesting that Samsung probably doesn’t want to wait long to send out the update.

Another theory floating around is that the company has accidentally pushed the update to devices and that this is merely a beta version of Marshmallow. Whatever the case, the lucky customer who received the Android 6.0 update will not be in a position to complain right now.

We must let you know by now that not all users are getting the update to Android 6.0.1, as only one customer so far has seen it so far. However, if you were also lucky enough to see the update, make sure you let us know by dropping a line below in the comments box.

It must be noted that this firmware has the Android security patch from 1 January 2016, which makes us believe that this is a beta version of the ROM.
