Samsung Galaxy S7 to be the first smartphone to pack the Snapdragon 820 chip

Qualcomm Snapdragon 820

The #Qualcomm #Snapdragon820 is one of the hotly debated topics in the tech sector right now, especially after the failure of the Snapdragon 810. There is some sort of a race going on in the mobile industry where manufacturers are supposedly rushing to be the first to bring this chipset to the market.

A new report now mentions that Samsung might be in line to be the first company to have this privilege. It is being speculated that the Galaxy S7 will be the device to bring the latest Qualcomm silicone to the markets. It is further being said that the two companies are developing the chipset together using the 14nm LPP process.

Samsung was openly against Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 chipset earlier this year as it was plagued by overheating related concerns. But it seems like the two companies have mended their relationship since then. So the expectations are generally pretty high from the 2016 flagship chipset. Expect companies like Xiaomi, LG, HTC and others to feature the Snapdragon 820 on their upcoming flagships.
