Note 4 Unfortunately Google Play Has Stopped Working

Problem: Every time I go into Google Play store after about 3 to 5 minutes it sends a message “unfortunately google play has stopped working ” then shuts down. Do you have any tips? Thanks

Solution: This issue is usually caused by a corrupt data in the Google Play Store app. Clearing the cache and data of the app usually does the trick in this case. It’s also best if you follow this up by wiping the cache partition of your phone.

If the issue still remains then logout of your Google account from your phone then restart your device. Once your phone has fully booted up login to your Google account.

If the problem still persists then I suggest you backup your phone data then do a factory reset.

Note 4 Can’t Install Apps From Google Play Store

Problem: Can’t install apps or upgrade apps from Google Play Store

Related Problem: My google play is not working I cannot download or install Fitbit app

Solution: Here’s what you need to do if you can’t install any app from the Google Play Store. First, make sure that your phone is connected to a stable Wi-Fi connection. You can check if you have a good connection by opening the YouTube app then try to watch any video. If there is no lag or if the video plays smoothly then you should be able to download any app.

Next, clear the cache and data of the Google Play Store app. This deletes any temporary  stored in the app that could be corrupt and is causing this problem. Follow this up by wiping the cache partition of your phone from the recovery mode.

If you still can’t download an app then logout of your Google account then restart your phone. Once the phone has booted up login to your Google account.

If the above troubleshooting steps fail to resolve the problem then I suggest you try to do a factory reset. Just make sure to backup your phone data before doing this.

Note 4 Links Open In Firefox

Problem: Hi. So basically whats happening is when someone would txt me a link to say ebay, youtube etc, it would automatically open in that app.  Now for some reason it just opens everything in firefox.  Even youtube videos on firefox used to open up on the youtube app on my phone. Now none of it happens.  It’s been happening since before the last system update.  I haven’t downloaded any new apps in a long time so im not sure that’s the issue.  I’ve soft reset the phone and still nothing.  I looked at the default apps and youtube ebay etc are still there.  Can you please help me.  I’m ready to give this phone a viking send off.  Thanks heaps on advance.

Solution: To resolve this problem you will need to reset the app preferences of your device.

  • From the Homescreen go to Apps > Settings > More.
  • Go to Device Manager > Application Manager.
  • Press the Menu key > Reset apps preferences.

Note 4 Picture Orientation Is Rotated

Problem: Here’s my issue. Well. I tried send pics or photos to my friend in facebook messenger. The photos that i’m sending is automatically rotates 180 degrees. It’s just on my end. But my friend sent me a screenshot what they receive. It’s just fine. So i’m bothered why it was not showing right to meeeeee.

Solution: The metadata of the picture in your phone may be corrupted. Are the photos taken using your phone camera? If they are then I suggest you clear the cache and data of your camera app. It’s also best if you follow this up by wiping the cache partition of your phone.

Note 4 App Content Goes Blank

Problem: In my Huffington post  app a lot of the stories go about halfway through and then it goes blank but the page continues like they just forgot to put the rest of it in.

Solution: This issue usually occurs if the Internet connection is not stable. First make sure your phone is connected to a good Internet connection.

If the Internet is working fine then the next thing you should do is to clear the cache and data of the Huffington post app as there may be some corrupt data within the app that is causing this problem.

If the problem persists then proceed with uninstalling the app and download a fresh version of the app from the Google Play Store.
