Samsung Galaxy A9 finally official with a midrange hardware

Samsung Galaxy A9

The #Samsung #GalaxyA9 smartphone has just gone official today after several leaks and rumors revealed its existence. As expected, this is a larger variant of the Galaxy A8 that was released a couple of months ago.

As for the feature set on board, the Galaxy A9 comes with a large 6 inch 1080p display, an octa core Snapdragon 652 (previously known as the Snapdragon 620) chipset, a 13-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization, an 8-megapixel front camera, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage (expandable), a fingerprint scanner under the home button, Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, 4G LTE and a mammoth 4,000 mAh battery pack with support for Qualcomm’s Quick Charge tech.

The design here is pretty similar to the Galaxy S6 lineup, so we can imagine that Samsung is trying to sell this under the highly lucrative upper midrange market segment. The device will be made available in White, Pink and Gold color models. Unfortunately, the Korean manufacturer hasn’t shared pricing related details as of yet, so we’re still kept in the dark about that.

Looking at the specs sheet here, it seems like the Galaxy A9 has the legs to make it big in the mobile industry with the right amount of exposure in the global markets. Don’t you agree?
